A little over a year ago I was contacted by the Summit International Awards and asked to serve on the jury for the 2010 Summit Creative Award. I place significant value on recognition within our profession and so was happy to do my part, which involved assessing over 100 websites and awarding scores for 4 parameters. Later in 2010 the honor and the task of judging fell my way again – this time with Summit’s Emerging Media Award.

Both of these judging tasks were handled remotely. Just me, a laptop and a spreadsheet.

For my third call-up for Jury duty, I’m delighted to have been invited to Portland, Oregon to serve on the key judging panel that will determine Best-Of-Show.

Results will be announced in May of this year and I’m sure there’s going to be plenty of debate and some fully deserving winners!
